Play is an important part of everyone’s learning. And, Art is a magical form of expression. We use both therapies in our work with children and adolescents and even some adults. When you work with a Redwood Therapist, expect some unexpected and delightful sessions.
Play may take the forms of a walk, creating a Lego design, play acting, or a family board game. The magical expressions of artwork may take the forms of watercolor painting, clay modeling, or writing poetry. Or, you may want to share a favorite music piece or play an instrument. There are no set rules, no prescriptions, only enjoyment.
Through Art and Play, our therapists gain valuable insights; clients experience new awareness. Together the therapist and the client often have unexpected breakthroughs.
